Movember 4th: One Dollar, Do I Hear One Dollar?

Times are tough, we are seeing that every day. But even in tough times one dollar makes a huge impact. Imagine if everyone who reads this post (around 200) gave a dollar to Movember...you guessed it math whizzes, it would equal $200. But then imagine if there are hundreds of people tapping 200 more people and they each give $1...well then you'd have something like $1,000,000. So don't tell me a dollar isn't worth anything!

Do you have a dollar that can go to help fight men's cancer? Cause that is all I'm asking for and it is all I really need.

Day 3: The Mo Is Grow(ing)

Movember 2010 Day 2: Four-hour Erections

A lot of attention is paid to cancer, and rightfully so, but one thing that really appealed to me about Movember was the focus on men's health. All too often the health of men is taken for granted, by themselves and the general public. Additionally, men's health has become a running joke about blue pills and four-hour erections (not that those are not serious afflictions). In Movember I have found a great way to fight a disease that has ravaged my family, but also focus some attention on something that does not get enough focus.

On top of asking you to join our team once again or be generous enough to donate even one dollar to the cause, I'm going to ask the men reading my post one simple question: What did you do today that made a positive impact on your health?

Each day make sure you are doing something that will enhance your health. Get the checkups you are scheduled for, since you do it for your car. Exercise. Eat right. Etc.

It's November 2nd, join our team right now and help us fight men's cancer and put a spotlight on our health!

Movember, Truly Day 1: Fight Cancer and Grow Your Mo

Why Are You Doing Movember?

Great question! For those who read my personal blog you probably already guessed half of why I do this; in May of this year my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time. Fortunately she is kicking the proverbial ass of this cancer and we could not be more proud. On October 3rd my Mom and myself shared yet another birthday and during that day, twenty-four hours before her final chemo treatment, she walked in Making Strides. Not only did she walk, she raised more than $3,000 and was honored onstage at the Hatch Shell (my Boston peeps know how cool that is) as this year's number one "Super Fan". The director of Making Strides remembered my Mom from the very first Strides, 18 years ago and gave a wonderful speech. Even in her emotional state I'll never forget seeing the video for the first time and hearing her wish me a Happy Birthday from stage. That's a Mom for you!

During my Mom's most recent fight and fundraising effort we were touched by so many people who gave to the cause. And this is why I continue to fight against cancer and this time for the men. Want to help? You don't have to give money, although I'd love for even a dollar, but we want more people to join our team. All you have to do is click on the image below, put in some simple information and that is it, if you really want it to be. But we'd love for you to join us in this battle! Sign up and spread the word. The more people we get the more the message will get out and the more hurt we can put on men's cancer.

I'll be answering questions about Movember and my motivations throughout the month, but if you have a particular question, let it rip!
